Seattle does up the holidays in a big way, so make sure to find a venue that matches the spirit of your hard working culture. 1. Victory Hall at the Boxyard

Neighborhood: Industrial District
Capacity: 1500 standing, 300 seated

The Boxyard in Seattle’s SoDo neighborhood (South of Downtown) is across from T-Mobile Park, steps away from Lumen Field, and is home to Victory Hall, a 9,500 square-foot event space. Celebrations happen here on the daily, so this lively spot is an excellent choice to hold your company’s holiday event. Victory Hall offers five different spaces from which to choose. The North Hall can fit 300 guests seated, and has a full service bar, a private mezzanine, and a massive 23-foot TV wall, just right for your end-of-year presentation. Perhaps choose The South Hall that boasts two full service bars, as well as four 100” TVs. The Hatback Bar & Grille and Stealheads Alley Microbrewery & Taproom both feature full-restaurant and brewery features with private dining options. And lastly is The Yard, a desirable spot that can hold up to 1,500 people, but only when that Seattle sun is shining.

2. Alder & Ash

Neighborhood:  Central Business District
Capacity: 100 standing, 40 seated

A bar and grill located in the heart of downtown, Alder & Ash oozes sophistication, and is just perfect to host your company’s holiday fête. Your guests will swoon over the New American fare, as well as the craft cocktails inspired by the spirit of the Pacific Northwest. Select the Alder Room, a semi-private dining space for up to 50 guests for a reception with an open floor plan. Book the entire restaurant for a 100-person cocktail reception and choose from customized packages and menus. Or perhaps a holiday leadership luncheon is on your calendar – invite your executive team to slip into the chic décor and plaid chairs of the private Ash Room, which comfortably sits 12.

3.  Hyatt Regency Bellevue

Neighborhood: Bellevue
Capacity: 1850 standing, 1945 seated

Choices, flexibility, and holiday cheer abound at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue, an elegant hotel in this affluent suburb of Seattle. There is literally 70,000 square feet of workable event space in this gorgeous, Asian-inspired luxury hotel. Washington-based tech company Apptio hosted their annual Holiday Party entitled “Après Apptio” with the Hyatt Regency Bellevue in 2020, all set to a ski lodge theme. If a presentation is a must on your holiday party “to do” list, consider booking the Auditorium which features tiered seating, a 16-panel HD video wall, and 61,000 watt surround sound speakers. The food is great and the staff is experienced, making Hyatt Regency a solid holiday venue choice.

4. Hotel 1000, LXR Hotels & Resorts

Neighborhood: Central Business District
Capacity: 200 standing, 180 seated

Bring on the holiday cheer with legendary luxury in downtown Seattle. Hotel 1000, a part of the Hilton Hotel & Resorts family, is located near Pike Place Market and the Seattle Art Museum. Rolls Royce was so taken by the Hotel 1000 that they hosted their 2019 Holiday Party at the sophisticated locale. Choose from 15 different event spaces within the property, ranging in capacity size from 30 to 200 guests. This spot is truly in the heart of Seattle, so your guests will adore being directly in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the Seattle holiday scene.

5. Sodo Park by Herban Feast

Capacity: 499 standing, 300 seated

Housed in a century old former manufacturing facility, Sodo Park is bursting with holiday possibilities for your company’s annual party. This beloved event venue has a 7,500 square-foot open floor plan, exposed beams, and soaring ceilings, making it the quintessential backdrop for your festivities. All catering is handled by Herban Feast, a local favorite who offers up seasonal, inspired cuisine. At Sodo Park, watch all your ideas come merrily to life.

6. Lumen Field

Neighborhood: Pioneer Square
Capacity: 69,000 seated

Party where the Seattle Seahawks play. Lumen Field is a huge event venue in the heart of downtown Seattle, and is home to many large-scale events and concerts. Consider hosting your company’s holiday event here, just as Amazon did a few years back when they organized their “Flashback” post-holiday party. It goes without saying that this space is huge, so consider The Verizon Lounge, the premiere club level space with views of the field, two large bars, and room for a stage and dance floor. The West Club could also serve as a refined backdrop for your corporate holiday party, with views of the Sound, and presentation capabilities. A holiday event at Lumen Field will definitely put points on the board.

Choose to host a seated dinner or a cocktail-style event in this modern, sleek space. The brick walls create the perfect canvas for anything you and your team can dream up. String up their market lights to perfectly fit in with the festivities. Fresh off their Travel + Leisure’s “World Best 2023” Award, this hotel pays attention to detail and the well-traveled have taken note.

 9. Block 41

Neighborhood: Belltown
Capacity: 500 standing, 350 seated

Deck the halls of Block 41 for your corporate holiday party, a blank canvas event space in hip Belltown. This chic venue boasts two separate spaces under one roof, providing for endless possibilities. The Bert & Tot Ballroom is filled with windows, leather wrapped columns, and has access to a private courtyard via a glass roll-up door. This is the perfect spot to present all your end-of-year company stats, as there’s a state-of-the-art audio/visual system, two ceiling-mounted projectors with drop screens, and wireless microphones. Or select The Ewing Theater with its more industrial feel. In this space you can change the color mood of the LED uplighting, present on one of the drop screens, and host up to 216 seated guests. Both spaces are yours to create and make merry for your employees.

10. Smith Tower Observatory Bar

Neighborhood: Pioneer Bar
Capacity: 80 standing, 40 seated

For over a century, locals and visitors have come to Smith Tower Observatory Bar to take in Seattle from above. Corporate Holiday Party Checklist

Every corporate event has a checklist, but there are certain considerations for a company holiday party outside of the normal to-do’s. Before booking your venue, consider the following:

Capacity. Make sure the venue you select can accommodate your expected number of guests, and can accommodate potential crowd fluctuations throughout the evening.

Budget. Set this early so you can land on a venue (likely your biggest expense) and plan for additional expenses like entertainment or favors.

Tech Requirements. Check with leadership and the team if any presentation or slideshows will be on the evening’s agenda, then coordinate with the venue or book a trusted vendor.

Amenities and Entertainment. A DJ, a dance floor, live music, a magician, a bar (or two, or three)…all these extras will have to be accounted for in the planning process.

Ambiance. The venue you select will hopefully play well into your holiday theme, but if you’ve gone with a blank space venue, you’ll need to budget for décor to deck your halls.

Plus Ones. Your employees may be allowed to bring a date to your event, so make sure to account for extra guests.

Dietary Needs. Be sure to either ask about the dietary restrictions of your guests, or simply offer dietary friendly options to everyone – it’s just good planning.

Transport and Parking. Confirm if your selected venue has available parking, is close to public transportation, or other means for ease of access.
